eDiscovery Tools Processor

eDiscovery Tools Processor is our flagship e-discovery software for processing increasingly large data sets (including all common e-mail, document and spreadsheet formats) to the required and/or court mandated e-discovery exchange format.

Processor supports integration with the majority of litigation support system platforms, including FTI Ringtail® Legal™, LexisNexis Concordance® and CT Summation®.

Relied upon by a number of Global 100 law firms, Processor is also increasingly used by forensic technology and bureau service providers who demand our superior audit and quality control features.

Data Awareness: Rapidly index metadata and full-text from e-mails, their attachments, and hundreds of common document, spreadsheet, image and compressed (compound) file types located on removable media, hard drives and network file shares. Processor supports Microsoft® Office file types (all versions, up to and including Office 2007) and e-mail mailboxes from Microsoft Outlook® and Lotus Notes® environments.

Audit and Quality Control: Processor features industry-leading audit and quality control to facilitate a defensible and forensically-acceptable processing methodology. Every processing job is recorded to an audit database with complete data processing particulars, including tool configuration and any errors or warnings. The database is easily reviewed upon job completion.

Profit and Project Management by Design: Designed for adding value to, and increasing the profitability of your firm, metrics are recorded for each Processor workflow stage. Such metrics can be collated for benchmarking and to facilitate accurate time and cost estimates for your clients.

Smart De-Duplication: Processor can automatically de-duplicate across multiple e-mail mailboxes and data sets to significantly reduce the occurrence of duplicated content and legal review workload. Duplicates are identified using the MD5 cryptographic hash function, with the ability to generate an MD5 hash for e-mails based on one (1) or more e-mail metadata fields. Processor also supports de-duplication over multiple batches and the exclusion of 'known irrelevant' data by importing a pre-generated MD5 hash list(s).

Foreign Language Support: Processor deals with e-mails and documents created in multilingual environments; with full-text indexing and search functionality compliant with Unicode, the worldwide character-encoding standard. Natively supporting Unicode UTF-16 encoding, you may easily process German, French, English, Greek, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean (CJK) text-based content for searching in Analyst.

Superior Microsoft® Office Documents and Spreadsheets: Print complex Microsoft Word® documents and Microsoft Excel® spreadsheets to TIFF/PDF with industry-leading options, including full page scaling and printing of track changes, spreadsheet formulas, white text and hidden objects. Further, Processor efficiently deals with password-protected ranges, worksheets and spreadsheets where the password is known.

Superior Microsoft Outlook® Non-E-mail Item Handling: Processor can automatically extract metadata from Calendar, Contact and Task items.

Preserve Relationships: Process data, including e-mail attachments and multi-level compound files, whilst automatically retaining family (i.e. parent and child) relationships.

Problem Files? No Problem! You can configure the 'processing rules' for each file type using an Extensible Markup Language (XML) template. In addition, you can review 'problem' data files, including password-protected, proprietary or executables and decide how they should be processed.

Embedded Objects: Improved handling of embedded objects (OLE) within e-mail.

Document Placeholders: Automatically insert customizable placeholder pages for any nominated file types or unprocessed data files.

Bates and Document Numbering: Electronically stamp multi-level Bates numbers or a customizable document numbering schema on each document or each page of a document for TIFF/PDF production.

Advanced User? Sophisticated configuration and template options for advanced users and processing workflow standardization across multiple Processor workstations.

Integration with your Litigation Support System: Processor allows data to be exported in native format, searchable PDF and/or TIFF via a Ringtail, Concordance or Summation load file. Per Workstation and Enterprise licensing models have no 'per click' cost for TIFF/PDF export.

eDiscovery Tools Analyst

eDiscovery Tools Analyst is the perfect companion for Processor.
Analyst has been developed for technical personnel and legal power users to efficiently preview and pre-filter (i.e. cull) their data sets prior to legal review.

'Quick Peek' for Early Case Assessment: Analyst allows non-technical users to rapidly determine, and visualize 'data set statistics'. The production of clear and concise reports to the legal team, including document counts per custodian, file type summary and duplicate counts, will add significant value to your e-discovery service.

Human Intelligence: The Analyst inference engine consolidates and resolves individuals, senders, recipients, domains, organizations and their apparent relationships, whilst preserving original metadata. This allows users to efficiently deal with one individual (or organization) with multiple e-mail addresses and/or usernames as one (1) entity.

E-mail Intelligence: Analyst supports the automatic objective grouping of related e-mails, including those from the same e-mail conversation or topic over multiple e-mail mailboxes.

Supercharged Searching: Analyst features advanced, yet easy to use search functionality (including full-text, keyword, phrase, fuzzy, proximity, wildcards, relevance and date range) with Boolean (AND, OR, NOT) and Relational operator support. Users can easily combine searches, with the ability to save and load search queries.

The Family Tree: Analyst provides a dynamic, hierarchical and visual representation of all parent and child relationships via the 'Document Tree' feature.

Fast Review, Tag and Export: The intuitive Analyst interface allows users to efficiently review, 'tag' and export responsive e-mails and documents. Users may review the full-text, metadata and native format of a document. The 'quick tag' feature allows responsive documents to be tagged manually or after conducting one (1) or more searches. 'Tags' can then be exported to your litigation support system via Processor.

Reviewer is designed for legal teams who need to review large volumes of documents fast!
Accessed via your web-browser, Reviewer facilitates efficient review even where your legal team is located in multiple geographic locations and time zones.

Throw out the Manual! The clear Reviewer user interface is easily navigated by even the most technologically illiterate lawyer or attorney within minutes.

Powerful Search: Reviewer features intuitive search functionality. Users can efficiently build, save and load complex search queries involving keywords, phrases, date ranges, Relational and Boolean operators. Searches can be performed over document content (full-text and metadata) and/or user-created tags. Results are displayed in a clean 'grid view' and can be dynamically sorted, filtered and selected for review.

Document Lists, On-Demand: Reviewer allows your legal team to generate their List of Documents on-demand, in a spreadsheet, directly to Microsoft Excel®.

Direct Load from Ringtail® Load Files: Reviewer supports the direct loading of data from a FTI Ringtail® Legal™ (export.mdb) load file. You may also directly export documents from Processor or Analyst for review.

Proven Technology: As a Microsoft Partner, the underlying Reviewer architecture is developed on Microsoft's robust and scalable enterprise content, search, database management and security software.

User and Matter Management: Securely manage your legal team and Matter Sites via the Administration interface. The interface provides the ability to create, edit and delete users and Matter Sites. Users may be assigned to one (1) or more Matter Sites. Administrators may generate Matter Site statistic reports to facilitate business intelligence and accounting requirements.

User Authentication: Reviewer can be integrated into your firm's existing Active Directory®, or authenticate to a standalone user database. Reviewer may also be integrated with RSA SecurID® to satisfy two-factor user authentication requirements.

Our Place or Yours? Reviewer may be accessed 'on-demand' via an eDiscovery Tools Certified Hosting Partner. Alternatively, Reviewer may be licensed and implemented to your law firm in circumstances where volume and/or sensitivity dictates.

'Per Click' Licence
Installation of Processor and Analyst on a computer pre-configured by eDiscovery Tools, with the following two-level 'per click' pricing model:
Level One - Processing for Analyst: Per item charge for each item successfully imported into an Analyst Package for pre-filtering (based on Item Count in Audit Database), excluding erroneous items; and
Level Two - Processing for Export: Per item charge for each item successfully exported to a load file, TIFF, PDF and/or native form, excluding erroneous items.
